Matcha swiss roll with azuki beans filling
I made this swiss roll by adapting Lucy's sugar roll recipe. Added 1 tbsp of powdered matcha in the process.
The azuki beans were store-bought but too sweet for my liking. I guess I have to be diligent and cook my azuki beans next time. :P
I bought this brand Morinaga (in a can form), taste sweet to me. Sometimes I bake by impulse, so it is good to have ready-made adzuki bean paste around.
HHB, yes, I agree abt the convenience of the ready-to-use beans at home but is there any way to get rid of the sweetness? like soak in water? LOL. I can't rem wad was the brand I bot, I got it from isetan scotts.
Looks good! I haven't baked cake in a while, I need to start soon.
ReplyDeleteYour swiss roll looks so good! I have no luck with store bought adzuki beans too, they are just too sweet.
ReplyDeleteHi Ching, bake! I wanna taste a virtual piece of cake from u. :)
ReplyDeleteHHB, maybe sugar is the preservative for them or that japanese have really sweet tooth. :P
