  • Hi Ida,
Like to ask you a question about your choc swirl bread recipe posted in Nov 06. Do you have to knead the bread till it become transparent and thin when been stretch? Hope you know what I mean.

  • Hi Wendy,

I think u meant passing the pane test. well, i know for hand-kneading it's very difficult to get that kind of texture. So, if you're using arm power, after 10 mins of kneading, it shd be sufficient.

If you have a mixer to help you, u can probably pass the pane test.

  • Hi Ida,
Thanks for replying. I used a mixer, beat for quite some time but could not get that kind of texture. Tot maybe this method do not require to reach that texture (but my bread still turn out ok). Did you get that texture?

  • I 1st did that bread b4 I got my KA. So, no, I did not reach the pane test. Just knead it till smooth dough stage will do.
